Overview

This policy explains how SCOPT Analytics Private Limited ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use https://scoptanalytics.com (the "site"). It applies from 29 March 2021. We last updated it on 10 October 2026.

We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000, and other Indian laws that apply to personal data. Please read this policy before you use the site or share information with us.

General

We collect personal information so we can provide and improve our consulting, analytics, and digital services.

This policy can change. When it does, we update the date above. Please check it from time to time. If you keep using the site after a change is published, you accept the revised policy.

Anyone who works with us and can see personal information, including partner firms and vendors, is expected to follow this policy.

How we collect information

We collect information in three ways.

  • From you, when you use this site, write to us, or fill in a form.
  • Through our work with you or your colleagues.
  • From other sources, such as public records, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, and other third parties. That can include how you interact with services offered by our group companies.

What we collect depends on how you deal with us.

Information we collect

We collect information so we can serve clients properly. This website does not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government identity numbers or payment card details through the site.

When you visit, we may automatically receive:

  • The operating system, browser type, and language on your device
  • Your IP address and the time you visited
  • The site you came from
  • Pages you open, how long you stay, and actions such as scrolling and clicks
  • Page response times and download errors
  • A cookie that remembers you have accepted the cookie notice

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide our services, and for any longer period the law requires.

If you ask for marketing messages, join a mailing list, or give us your details at an event, we may use that information to tell you about our services, updates, and events.

How we use information

We use personal information to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services. In particular, we may use it to:

  • Improve the site and the way we work
  • Understand how the site is used
  • Recommend services that fit your inquiry
  • Deliver the work you ask us to do
  • Manage and complete an engagement
  • Reply to your questions and support requests
  • Send confirmations, invoices, technical notices, security alerts, and similar messages
  • Tell you about events, updates, and services, where you have asked to hear from us
  • Prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other unlawful activity

Where the law requires it, we may process personal information without asking again, including to verify identity or to investigate a cyber incident or an offence.

Who we share information with

We share personal information when you agree, or when we need to in order to deliver a service you have asked for. We also share it with our group companies and with vendors who work for us.

Those vendors may host systems, send email, support marketing, or provide customer service. They may use the information only to do that work, and they must protect it to at least the standard required by this policy and by applicable law.

We may also disclose information when we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with the law, a lawful request, or legal process
  • Enforce our agreements and terms of use
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of SCOPT Analytics, our clients, or others
  • Respond to an emergency
  • Complete a sale, merger, financing, or similar transfer of all or part of the business

Data security

We train the people who handle personal information, and we use technical and organizational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or damage.

We use TLS (often called SSL) so information sent to the site is encrypted in transit. We also keep physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards around the information we store, and we limit access to people who need it for their work.

Please keep your own passwords private, and sign out when you use a shared computer. Do not reuse a password that you use on other accounts.

Children

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, use this site only with a parent or guardian. We are not responsible for use of the site that ignores this rule.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct or delete it, subject to the law.

You can stop promotional email by using the unsubscribe link in the message, or by writing to us. We may still send messages that are part of an existing engagement, such as invoices or project updates.

Send privacy requests to info@scoptanalytics.com.
